Bacon Mushroom Spinach Pasta

Sauce

  1. Cook the bacon over medium heat until slightly crispy. Set aside in a bowl.
  2. Cook the mushrooms in the bacon’s grease until cooked to a desired amount. Halfway through, about a few minutes in, add the minced garlic.
  3. Pour in the can of tomato sauce and bring to a simmer.
  4. Add the spinach, pressing into the sauce so as to wilt. Once starting to wilt, add back in the bacon.
  5. Add pepper, chili powder, and/or basil if desired. Remove from heat. Stir in about half a cup of cream (or more, if feeling decadent).

Pasta

  1. Meanwhile, you should have been cooking your pasta. Add sauce to pasta and serve.
